Message from our CEO
I am delighted to welcome you to the Agora Learning Partnership website and hope that you find the content informative and helpful.
In ancient Greece, the word ‘Agora’ was used to describe a public open space used for assemblies and markets; Agora, a place where people could be together. The notion of people coming together…to work collaboratively…is the approach adopted across the Partnership in order to achieve success. The Agora Learning Partnership is a place where we definitely work together, learn together and succeed together.
The nine schools who currently belong to our Partnership benefit greatly from working collaboratively, providing help and support to one another. The relationship between the schools and the Executive Team and Trustees is also deemed to be a strength of the organisation and the support offered by the Executive Team is very much personalised to the individual needs of our schools. However, this only enhances the provision at our schools, whilst enabling them to maintain their individual identities and the autonomy to deliver a curriculum that reflects their school communities and the needs of the children and young people that they serve; we believe this is the only way to achieve the very best educational standards within our schools and across our Trust – high standards that we continually strive for.
Throughout our Partnership, we believe success is measured by the number of children and young people who feel happy, safe and able to flourish, in order that they can reach their full potential educationally and in all other aspects of school and life. As a result, we place children and young people at the heart of all the work that we do and the decisions that we make.
I hope this gives you a sense of our organisation and that you enjoy the information presented on our website; however, should you wish to find out more about our Partnership, please do not hesitate to get in touch; we look forward to hearing from you.
Rebecca Daulman, Chief Executive Officer
Welcome from the Chair of the Agora Learning Partnership
Hello and welcome to our website!
I am the Chair of the Agora Learning Partnership. I, and my fellow trustees, are proud of our Trust, the people who work within it and, most importantly, the children attending the schools within the learning partnership. I hope you find that our website will provide you with all the information you need to gain a flavour of our ethos and our beliefs in our truly child centred trust.
I am absolutely passionate that children should be at the heart of everything we do and the decisions we make. I am committed to the partnership we have with our schools, believing that we all move forward together in order to make things ‘the best they can be’ for our children.
We are an inclusive and collaborative learning partnership, bringing like-minded people together ‘to work together, learn together and succeed together’. Schools and academies in Hertfordshire have a long and strong history of working together and of shaping the landscape to create an environment in which schools support each other and children thrive.
Whether you are considering joining our partnership, are interested in our approach or would like to work with us, we hope you will find what you need on our website; but if you don’t please get in touch and let us know how we can help or improve.
Patrick McAteer, Chair of the Board of Trustees
