ALP Member and Trustee vacancies

The Trust currently has vacancies for a Member and two or more Trustees.

The Members have ultimate responsibility for the Trust achieving its charitable objectives, and are accountable to the Secretary of State for the overall performance of the Trust; the role is sometimes described as ‘eyes on, hands off’.

The Trustees oversee the management and administration of the Trust and the academies run by the Trust. The role of the Board and Trustees includes:

  • Strategic oversight and overall performance
  • Accountability for educational standards and outcomes
  • Accountability for financial standards, financial viability and risk management

We would particularly particularly welcome Trustee applicants with skills in the following areas:

  • Property and estate management
  • Marketing/media/PR
  • Education generally, including secondary and SEN etc
  • HR

For details of our current Members and Trustees and a description of the responsibilities of each of the roles, please see the Members and Trustees page of our website.

If you know anyone who might be interested in these roles, please contact Jackie Goodhall, Company Secretary, for further information.
